MoveOn Statement on No Labels’ Reckless and Anti-Democratic Ticket Announcement

Washington, D.C.Following reporting that the dark money group No Labels and their anonymous 800 “delegates” will announce tomorrow that they are moving forward with their third-party presidential bid—a race that their own CEO has said they are not in to win—MoveOn Political Action Executive Director Rahna Epting issued the following statement:

“No Labels won’t disclose its delegates, won’t disclose all of its donors, refuses to give voters an opportunity to pick a nominee, and won’t even say who they might nominate on their reckless spoiler ticket, when even their founder admits they are ‘not in it to win it.’ There is nothing democratic about this so-called nominating process, but that’s par for the course for No Labels. Their ticket would help reelect Donald Trump and bring a wrecking ball to our fundamental freedoms. Period.”
